Emergency Ride Home (ERH)

No Car. No Worries.

Emergency Ride Home (ERH) is an assurance that you will never be left at work on the days when you commute sustainably. If an emergency arises on a workday when you commute by public transit, shuttle, carpool, biking, or walking, we’ve got you covered. You can take a Lyft home compliments of the Alewife TMA.

Examples of acceptable reasons for needing an ERH include illness of you or an immediate family member, your carpool driver needs to leave work early and leaves you behind, or you pop a tire and/or damage your bicycle on the way to work, so you need another way to get home.

Unacceptable reasons for needing an ERH include running errands, pre-planned appointments, staying late for a work happy hour, business-related travel, inclement weather, or problems with the T.

How It Works

Complete the registration form below.

The TMA director will confirm your eligibility and email you a Lyft code valued at $50.

3

When you have a qualifying emergency, order a Lyft using their app and enter the code details in the payment section.

4

After your ride, complete an ERH Confirmation Report. Once the TMA director approves it, you will be sent another Lyft code to use for a future emergency.
