Public Transportation

Alewife Station

The Alewife MBTA Station serves the Red Line and several bus routes. The station is a short five minute walk from Luxe at Alewife! For more information on transit schedules and fares, go to MBTA.com/schedules/Red/line.


Luxe at Alewife offers free or discounted passes for new residents. Contact the property manager for more information.

Active Commuting

The Minuteman Bikeway, Fitchburg Cut-off Path, the Alewife Greenway Bike Path, and the Alewife Linear Park/Somerville Community Path are all located near to the site. Visit AlewifeTMA.org/active-commuting for more information about nearby bike and walking paths.

Alewife TMA Shuttle Service

The Alewife TMA operates a shuttle service between

Alewife MBTA Station and local businesses Monday through

Friday during peak commuting hours. This shuttle makes stops at

locations along Concord Avenue, Wheeler Street, Fawcett Street, Smith Pl, Moulton Street. Wilson Road, and Spinelli Place in Cambridge.

Emergency Ride Home Program (ERH)

You will never be left at work on the days when you commute sustainably. If an emergency arises on a workday when you commute by public transit, shuttle, carpool, biking, or walking, the Alewife TMA has got you covered. You can take a Lyft home compliments of the Alewife TMA.

FlexRide Carpool Incentive Program

The Alewife TMA offers a carpool subsidy through the FlexRide Carpool Incentive Program. The program helps commuters find a carpool partner and provides a $25 Amazon Gift Card every month to each carpool member.

Bluebikes

Monthly Commuter Challenges

Every month, the Alewife TMA offers engaging commuter contests and activities with fantastic prizes!


Examples include a Bike to Work Challenge in May, Car Free Day in September, Earth Day Activities and more! These contests are typically geared at encouraging and rewarding the use of alternative transportation options.
